    Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Patan Durbar Square

    Patan Durbar Square is a popular tourist destination. The square is densely packed with ancient sites, temples, and shrines known for their intricate carvings. The former royal palace complex is the center of religious and social life in Patan, and it houses a museum with a collection of bronze sculptures and religious items.

    Bhaktapur Durbar Square

    Bhaktapur Durbar Square, less polluted and peaceful among all three durbar square in the valley, was the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom. It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Durbar Square is also well known as Khwopa.

    Swaymbhunath stupa is situated on the top of the hill and considered the most important Buddhist pilgrim. The Tibetan name for the location means 'Sublime Forest,' referring to the many different types of trees that can be found on the hill.

    Changu Narayan, an ancient Hindu shrine, is situated on a high hilltop known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple was surrounded by a champak tree forest and Changu, a small village. The temple is in the Changunarayan Municipality in Nepal's Bhaktapur District. This hill is located about 7 miles (12 kilometers) east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur.

    Khokana


    Khokana is a traditional and small Newari village located approximately 8 kilometers south of Kathmandu (on the outskirts of Patan). Since ancient times, Khokana has been renowned primarily for the production of high-quality mustard oil. In 1911 AD, during the reign of Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shamsher, it was also the first town in Nepal to be illuminated with electricity.


    Bajrabarahi Temple

    According to legend, Shrinewas Malla founded this temple in the month of Chaitra in 784 BS. The current building is thought to stand where a reservoir once stood in the center of the woodland. Shree Bajrabarahi Goddess is said to have incarnated from the pond, and a temple was later built in its place.


    Dharahara

    The first one, designed by Nepal's first prime minister, Bhimsen Thapa, was destroyed in the 1934 earthquake. Rana Prime Minister Juddha Sumsher Rana rebuilt it. After the April 2015 earthquake devastated it, the monument was rebuilt under the coordination of the National Reconstruction Authority.

    Hirayavara Mahvihra, also known as The Golden Temple, is a historical vihara in Patan, Nepal. Its literal translation is "Gold-colored Great Monastery." It's known as the "Golden Temple" in the area, and it's popular for feeding rats.

    Taudaha

    The Taudaha Lake is thought to be a residual reservoir of the massive lake that once existed where Kathmandu now stands. According to legend, Manjushree, a Buddhist legendary figure, cut the hill in the valley's south, causing the lake's water to drain and thereby producing land that was properly inhabited by humans.

    Jay Prakash Malla had directed the construction of 21 taps. Later, Shah King Rana Bahadur Shah built another tap, which was given the official name Balaju BaishDhara.Later, in 2018 B.S., during the regime of King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah, The park's building starts in 02.27 BS, and it will be open to the public in 2021 B.S. 02/27.


    Kopan Monastery

    Kopan Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal, near Boudhanath. It was once the headquarters of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, a worldwide network of Gelugpa dharma centers.


    Indra Chowk

    Makhan Tole's bustling street spills over and takes you closer to Indra Chowk, a famous courtyard in the area. The town, named after an ancient Vedic deity named Indra, is well-known for its market and cultural excursions. It is here that you will find blanket and clothing merchants, the stone Shiva Temple next door, and the beautiful façade of the Akash Bhairab Temple.


    Freak Street

    Freak Street is a small street situated to the south of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once upon a time, this famous tourist destination in Kathmandu was known as the old freak route, referring to the hippie trail of the 1960s and 1970s.


    Phulchoki 

    Phulchowki, a notable mountain top in Nepal, covers the Kathmandu valley. The mountain is called 'Phul,' which means 'flowers,' in the literal sense. This spot is a natural flower garden with everything light and lovely.


    Kumari Ghar

    Kumari Ghar is a magnificent ancient palace where the Kumari stays as she is the chosen Devi. It's a three-story traditional building made of wood and red bricks with intricately painted windows, doors, and balconies that look a lot like a Buddhist Vihara. Jaya Prakash Malla designed this structure in the mid-1700s.

    The Dakshinkali Temple is just a kilometer from the village of Pharping, 22 kilometers from Kathmandu. The temple is dedicated to the fierce and hated Goddess Kali and is one of Nepal's most important temples. The temple's renown stems from its ceremonies and customs.

    Nepal's Suryavinayak Temple is a Hindu temple. It is situated in Nepal's Bhaktapur district. The temple is dedicated to Ganesh, the Hindu god.     Pilot Baba Ashram

    Pilot Baba Ashram is a spiritual retreat for pilots. Pilot Baba is the name of a sage who left his work as a pilot to pursue real peace after seeing the consequences of war and human strife. The word 'Ashram' refers to a sanctum, and Pilot Baba's sanctum is situated on a magnificent hill with panoramic views of the Kathmandu valley.

    Bajrayogini Temple

    Bajrayogini Temple is a Tantrik temple in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley, situated in Sankhu. It is also known as the Temple of the Bodhisattva. The main temple, which was founded by King Pratap Malla in the sixteenth century, is currently part of a temple complex.

    Central Zoo

    The Central Zoo in Jawalakhel, Nepal, is a 6-hectare zoo. The National Trust for Nature Conservation manages the park, which is home to 870 animals representing 109 species. It was initially a private zoo, but in 1956 it was opened to the public.


    Nagbahal

    Nagbahal is in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley, in the heart of the city of Lalitpur. The Nagbahal population is home to about 5000 residents, the majority of which are Newar ethnic groups. The Nagbahal and its neighboring Hiranya Varna Mahavihar have a long history dating back to the 11th century.

    Sundarijal-Chisapani Trekking

    This trek begins on the outskirts of Kathmandu, in the north-eastern part of the city. The trek begins with an uphill walk through the Shivapuri national park's rhododendron trees. We arrive at Chisapani, a stunning mountain view point with a near view of the Eastern Himalayas from Langtang to Gaurishankar Ranges, after a 4-5 hour hike.
